Founded in 1976 by the LPG distribution companies in Portugal, Instituto Tecnológico do Gás is a non-profit and public utility association, whose purpose is to promote, support and develop the industry in the area of energy, namely in the clusters of hydrocarbons, compressed and liquefied natural gas, industrial gases, biofuels, renewable synthetic fuels and hydrogen, as well as, other alternative energies, contributing to innovation and competitiveness, in order to enhance energy efficiency and a circular economy, towards carbon neutrality.
